This week we decided to test the Môm, trendy place that stirs the web and attracts the bloggers of the capital. On the menu, buffet at will, wide choice of sweet and savory dishes as part of a brunch formula at 34 € 50.
DECO & AMBIANCE
At first glance, the Môm throws it. The large facade with a terrace looks like a theater. The pushed door, the red neon lights of this restaurant lounge illuminate a vast space full of tables with a self-service buffet. Projection of images of old films, turntables, golden lampshades, goose feathers, set the scene of a chic disco and vintage mix. And the introspecive music, between pop, soul, deep house and jazz, adds a shifted and trendy touch.
HOME & SERVICE
The staff, attentive and friendly, rushes to the slightest request. Unfortunately, probably a victim of its success, the place is not restful. Our ears are quickly saturated by the noise of the room where intermingled sounds of dishes and shouts of voices. The servers, few and overwhelmed, run from one client to another. At the buffet, the gourmands walk on their feet.
PLATE & QUALITY-PRICE RATIO
The buffet has a varied and colorful selection of sweet and savory flavors. Verrines, cakes, quiches, cold meats, meat dishes, cereals, viennoiseries or hot drinks struggle to overcome our curiosity. If the big appetites are satisfied, the fine palates will however remain on their hunger. While the establishment boasts homemade cuisine made from seasonal produce, we expected to taste real orange juice in a hurry. If the cheeses are delicious, the aqueous quiches disappoint.
